The Virginia football team opens the 2026 season against NC State on Saturday, August 29 at Scott Stadium with a 3:30 p.m. kickoff. Before the games begin, though, there is a lot of work to be done. The Cavaliers open preseason practice Wednesday as preparations for the upcoming campaign kick into high gear.
