Traditionally, "Senior Day" was set up to honor players after four or five years in a program. But in today's college sports landscape, it might be just a matter of months at any given school as was the case with Virginia seniors Dallin Hall, Devin Tillis, Jacari White, Ugonna Onyenso, and Malik Thomas this year.

...and I fervently hope this season has served as an inspiration for Johann, Thijs and Sam to return to complete their UVA journies next year!

Malik's story, as well as those equally unique stories about Jacari, Ugo and Dallin; Devin's hosting the podcast which allowed all of us to get to know these guys; Ryan Odom's history with UVA; Elijah Gertrude's loyalty to the University and its basketball program (not to mention his home town of Jersey City which we share), and Chance's hometown hero angle with STAB, collectively make this current edition of the Wahoos my all-time favorite. What a tremendous collection of young men. For as many years as this 73-year-old alumnus (Class of '74) has left, I'll enjoy tremendously these individuals' return to Grounds to revisit their stories of yesteryear! GO HOOS!!!!
