One week after getting a road win at Pittsburgh, the Virginia football team ran into a streaking Notre Dame squad that rolled to a 35-14 victory in South Bend. The Hoos fell behind moments after committing a turnover on the opening kickoff and trailed 28-0 at halftime. They now stand at 5-5 entering the final two games.

In terms of the counting stats from the loss, safety Jonas Sanker set a new career high with 13 tackles and Kendren Smith added 8 tackles on defense too. Offensively, UVA receiver Malachi Fields had the best day with 4 catches for 81 yards.
