For its fifth game of the season, the Virginia football program will travel north to Boston College. It'll be the first time since 2010 that the Cavaliers make the trip to Chestnut Hill.

Both teams struggled in 2022, combining for just six total wins. The Eagles open ACC play with Florida State at home in week three and travel to play a revamped Louisville team on Saturday, Sept. 23. Virginia plays NC State on Friday night, Sept. 22 to start its 2023 ACC campaign so it has an extra day of prep leading into this contest. The Sept. 30 matchup will serve as a measuring point for both programs.
