The Virginia basketball team climbed to 4-0 with a win against Illinois on Sunday. The 70-61 victory also secured the Continental Tire Main Event Championship for the Hoos. For a moment it looked like the Hoos might be letting the title slip away, though.

Correct in that the game vs. the Illini was "early-season ... and against an inexperienced pair of guards. The acid test will come in ACC play. Versus Houston at home, I'd consider ourselves having played REALLY well if we have a lead with five minutes to go in the contest. I am somewhat buoyed by Oregon holding Houston to 66 points and losing by 10 - on the Ducks' home court.
