With field hockey being the second-most popular sport in the country, the Netherlands serves as a pipeline for Virginia and many other universities. The Cavaliers alone have seven players that have a connection to the Dutch land. For Jans Croon, she moved from her native country to California and now Charlottesville. One thing that has remained consistent is her childhood passion for the sport.
