After its loss to Illinois, the Virginia football team can not underestimate its next opponent. The Old Dominion Monarchs (1-1) are no stranger to pulling off upsets, more specifically against Virginia Tech. The Monarchs are 2-12 all-time against Power 5 opponents, with the Hokies falling victim in 2018 and Week 1 of 2022.

Good comments, but yours re Armstrong lacking his usual connectivity with receivers is off the beam. If you think back to your correct observations re A not having enough pocket time, the answer leaps out. Insufficient pocket time causes breakdowns in the entire O system ranging from receiver selection through throw timing and accuracy. Aside from this, your comment re O play calling was right on. I have no idea why our OC didn't realize early on that the Illinois game begged for run/pass option plays into the flats wherein both a back and a wide receiver or end would flood a given zone. By the time our OC awakened, it was too late.
