   Summer weight training and informal games will probably help Coach Tony Bennett decide which 5 players will start next season and which newcomers will be encouraged to red shirt. My early guess.....Beekman, Clark, Gardner, Shedrick and Vander Plas will start, while Caffaro, Franklin, McNeely (future All ACC kid) and possibly Murray will be early subs. Bond and Traudt are very good and will push for minutes. Dunn will most likely RS. Coach Bennett will likely embrace a deeper rotation - maybe 9 or 10. He might use Clark as a super sub as Beekman runs the show. Hopefully UVA will embrace NIL and find deals for most of these kids. The overall talent is much improved; resulting in more scoring & better rebounding. Depth in the front court will make UVA a very tough opponent this season. And Defense should be much improved. UVA should be able to challenge for Top 4 in the ACC.

   Is there any way to get these guys NIL $ if you have a Best-Of-5 scrimmage open to the public where it's last year's starting 5 (w/ Vander Plas as 6th man) vs Dunn (whose game seems very Trey Murphy-esque), Troudt, McKneely, Bond & Murray with Caffaro as their 6th man? I'd pay to see that! We all know CTB's not gonna have a 12-man rotation, so my guess is Bond & Dunn redshirt like Huff & Hunter did. I still can't believe Huff & Hunter did that, but it benefitted both in the end, if not the team their 1st year of sitting (very hot & mostly cold offense that year, much like this past year).

   Are the first-years apt to transfer if they don't get enough minutes (or money)?

      Practice and play well and they will get minutes.

      Taine will be ready and available this season. However, with a small sample size of what his play looks like in the ACC, particularly after a crucial summer of development in between freshman and sophomore year, it is tough to say what his role will look like.
