Although sophomore Lavel Davis Jr. appears to be making progress towards being cleared to play at some point in the 2021 season, the real possibility remains that he will miss the entire 2021 season because of a torn ACL suffered this past spring. Still, Wide Receivers Coach Marques Hagans remains optimistic about his unit even if the 6'7" star is not able to many, or any games this fall.

“I think the beauty of the group is the group,” Hagans said of his wide receiver unit in his Fall Camp press conference on August 9. “It’s unfortunate with injuries, but it gives guys other opportunities to step up. We’ve just got to continue to keep working. Every day is an opportunity to get better, and that’s what we’re grinding to do every day.”
