Virginia football was the pick for 4-star outside linebacker prospect Josh McCarron, who announced his pledge to the Hoos in an Instagram post on Tuesday (April 21). Co-Defensive Coordinator/Outside Linebackers Coach Kelly Poppinga – or K-Popp, as McCarron calls him – and Inside Linebackers Coach Shane Hunter spearheaded an impressive recruiting effort by the Cavaliers, who sold the Archbishop Murphy (Everett, WA) junior enough to commit without having seen his future school in person.
