With one game to go in the regular season, Virginia basketball fans continue to focus on the Cavaliers and their chances in the ACC Tournament and NCAA Tournament later this month. That leads to a lot of interesting conversations on the message boards so the weekly Fan Friday feature dug through some of the threads to share.
Here are a few of the thread starters that led to some good discussion this week:
- How many ACC teams have gone 13-4 in ACC and complained about it? ~ hoojo4
- You know, as shaky as we've been, we've still locked up a top 4 ACC finish. ~ danceswithcavs
- A few takeaways from last night. ~ HTrain90
- Is there too much reaction to recent struggles? ~ Kris
- ACC 1st team?? Your thoughts? ~ HooWorldOrder
- Separate Thread on ACC COY Picks ~ Toolie92
- All season long, and actually prior to the start of play, I have heard so many commentators and sports writers note that this team is may be the most talented team Tony Bennett has had. Really? ~ RC67
- 1995 (12-4 in ACC) vs. 2021 (12-4 in ACC). Hoo ya got? ~ Hoodlum
- Justin Anderson weighs in. Justin McKoy is the new Anthony Gill. ~ Five Pillar
- FWIW we should really want a 4 seed over a 5. ~ zh00s
- Where is the offense coming from next year? ~ 1wahookid95
Of course, with the end of the season now here, it means that the seniors are nearing the end of this season. The hoops team did hold Senior Night for Jay Huff, Sam Hauser, Tomas Woldetensae, and Austin Katstra before Monday’s win against Miami. If you missed the videos that were produced for the seniors, they’re embedded below.
