The Virginia football team hit the road Saturday hoping to stay undefeated in ACC play. Instead, the Hoos stumbled in a big way at Florida State. They fell 38-7 in Tallahassee and dropped to 3-2 on the season, including a 1-1 mark in the conference.
UVA led 7-0 after the first quarter thanks to a Da'Shawn Martin touchdown catch on a pass from Beau Pribula. Martin has a TD reception in four of five games for the Cavaliers, but Saturday's end zone visit wasn't nearly enough. Starting with a 17-0 second quarter, FSU surged to the victory with 38 unanswered points.
Florida State outgained Virginia 464 to 205 in total yards with a dominant ground effort of 281 rushing yards. Seminole quarterback Ashton Daniels rolled to 136 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns on 17 carries to key that effort. The hosts also piled up 10 sacks on Pribula as the Wahoo offense repeatedly stalled.
