UVA dominated every statistical category on the way to a huge win in its season and ACC opener. The Hoos piled up 413 yards to the Wolfpack's 168, which included a 258-yard rushing day behind a stout performance from the offensive line. Virginia also claimed the passing yards (155-92) and time of possession (38:03-21:57) categories while winning the turnover margin 2-0.

Among the UVA standouts on the day were quarterback Beau Pribula (110 rushing yards, 155 passing yards with 2 touchdowns and 0 INTs), running back Xavier Brown (40 rushing yards, 58 receiving yards, 2 touchdowns), and safety Brandyn Hillman (4 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 1 interception). Overall, though, it was a balanced effort with contributions coming in bunches from both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.
