The wait is over. The Virginia football team opens the season against NC State on Saturday, August 29 at Scott Stadium at 3:30 p.m. It's the ACC opener for both teams and the first domino of the race toward the ACC Championship. Throughout the month, The Sabre has been dialed into preseason practices and storylines surrounding the Wahoos. Preston Willett, contributor to TheSabre.com and host of the Hoos On Podcast, jumped onto The Fast Lane radio show to bring news about the Hoos to Lynchburg and beyond.
This time on The Fast Lane (on VTRN Sports Lynchburg 93.3 FM):
- The Week 0 game - how smart was it for the adminstrations of UVA and NC State to push to keep it in this time and TV slot? (3:10)
- True or false: This sellout game seems different than previous sellouts/near sellouts because it is momentum built on the quality of Virginia and not just the opponent? (5:55)
- Rico Flores Jr. out at receiver, Kam Robinson a game-time decision at linebacker, and the injury report. (7:58)
- Depth of the Virginia football team - can depth win out over NC State quarterback CJ Bailey? (12:25)
