ACC fans didn’t even have to wait until Super Bowl weekend to get the game dates for their favorite teams this coming fall. The conference released the footbal schedules for its members this week.
For Virginia, some parts were already known. That included the opener against NC State, which had been previously announced for Week 0 for College Football Brasil in Rio De Janeiro. Now a conference game with the ACC’s move to a nine-game league schedule, this will be the first ever Football Bowl Subdivision game played in South America.
Notably, preparations for that trip are already underway. The Cavaliers sent some of its support staff to Brazil to begin evaluating the team’s needs for the game. Pictured in this social media post from the event organizers are Katie Giusto/Director of Football Operations, Kelli Pugh/Senior Associate Athletics Director for Sports Medicine, Ross Ferrell/Director of Football Performance Nutrition, Eddie Chavez, the Director of Equipment Room Operations for football, and Luke Goldstein, Assistant Athletics Director for Video Services.
Beyond the game in Week 0, UVA fans also knew (or at least strongly expected) that the Virginia Tech rivalry game would fall on the final weekend. There were questions, however, about where the various other ACC games would fall on the calendar. The second conference game of the season will be on the road at Florida State in early October, while rivalry games with UNC and VT close it all out.
As for the non-conference contests, there are only three now with the expanded league schedule. Virginia hosts Norfolk State on Sept. 12, faces West Virginia in Charlotte on Sept. 19, and hosts Delaware on Sept. 26,

- Team by team ACC schedule link
- Over the past century, years ending in 6…
have produced just TWO UVA winning seasons — 1926 and 1996. - Facebook video of schedule is pretty funny
- I was going to get season tickets again and contribute enough to get good parking but next year’s home schedule is hot garbage.
- 2026 season tickets are the same price as last year, what a fricking joke.
- ACC did us a solid by putting our bye on Nov 7th, great line up of games.
- ACC Championship game moving to Noon - probably a good move.
