In the rivarly win against the Hokies, the defense came up with another strong showing by holding VT to just 197 yards of total offense and 6 first downs. UVA also posted 2 sacks and 2 interceptions with linebacker Maddox Marcellus contributing in both categories. Marcellus also led the defense with 9 tackles. Safety Antonio Clary pulled in the other interception as he celebrated Senior Night with a win and a turnover.

Offensively, J'Mari Taylor had a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown in addition to 114 total yards. Taylor's touchdown pass went to tight end Sage Ennis near the goal line. Chandler Morris completed 21 of 35 passes for 182 yards and added a rushing touchdown of his own as well.
