It’s no secret that the college sports landscape is changing. Between Name-Image-Likeness opportunities, the House settlement, conference realignment, and so forth the last several years, things have shifted and continue to shift for Virginia and others.

Both the Hoos On Podcast and the Preferred Walk-Ons Podcast on the Sabre tackled how some of the recent changes with the House settlement are impacting UVA and the NCAA as a whole. David Teel, long-time reporter at The Virginian-Pilot, joined the Hoos On Podcast to break down some thoughts on the Cavaliers in this era. Amanda Christovich, a Front Office Sports reporter, appeared on the Preferred Walk-Ons Podcast for a discussion of how it all affects fans in this new environment.

From inside the house of Virginia athletics, new programming is also being released to help fans get a better understanding of the department and its decisions and to provide an inside look at the UVA men’s basketball team as it begins a new era under Ryan Odom. The first episode of the Inside Virginia Athletics podcast with Director of Athletics Carla Williams is already out, while a teaser video of the hoops show "Proving Grounds" hit social media this week.
