While the attention has been on the transfer portal for most of the winter, the Virginia football team continued its work with high school recruiting too. That paid off on Friday when offensive lineman Dylan Biehl committed to the Hoos.
The Lambert High School prospect from Georgia announced his decision on social media.

Biehl received offers from Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Central Florida, and others. He took in an FSU junior day event in January. He went on unofficial visits to Pittsburgh and Clemson last fall within the ACC as well. After multiple visits to UVA, however, he made the call for the Cavaliers. With that choice, he became the second commit in the class of 2026, joining North Carolina quarterback Ely Hamrick.
The 6’5”, 275-pound lineman returned to Charlottesville for a visit this weekend after committing. He posted on social media that UVA is “where I belong” and encouraged others to check out the Cavaliers as he wrote Virginia Football “is taking off so jump on board.”
Biehl currently rates as a 3-star recruit on 247 Sports. That service also ranks him 68th in the state of Georgia. Rivals also lists Biehl as a 3-star recruit.
Biehl projects currently as an offensive tackle. While it is hard to predict long-term positions outlines in the age of the transfer portal, UVA has now stacked multiple tackle prospects in the last two classes. The Hoos signed Jon Adair (6’5”, 265) and Jim Harris Jr. (6’5”, 285) in 2025 plus Ben York (6’5”, 286) and Dane Wleklinski (6’6”, 280) in 2024.
Various high school highlights for Biehl can be seen on his Hudl profile here.
