CHARLOTTE - The Hoos On Podcast Postgame Report checks in from the Spectrum Center for the ACC Tournament. Host Preston Willett recaps the Virginia basketball team's 81-74 win over NC State in the ACC Tournament Quarterfinals, breaking down the biggest performances, key stats, and looking ahead to the semifinals.

In the victory, UVA continued to get the balanced scoring punch that propelled it to the No. 2 seed in the conference tourney. Malik Thomas led the way with 16 points and 4 rebounds, while Thijs De Ridder added 15 points and 5 rebounds. Jacari White and Sam Lewis had 13 and 12 points, respectively, as they combined to make 7 3-pointers on the day. The Hoos also got 8 points each from Dallin Hall and Ugonna Onyenso. Hall also had 5 assists, while Onyenso made a major impact with 6 rebounds and 8 blocked shots too. The latter is tied for the second most in ACC Tournament history.

Virginia improved to 28-4 and earned a spot in the ACC Tournament Semifinals against Miami. First-year Cavalier coach Ryan Odom matched his career high for wins in a season (28 at VCU in 2024-25) in the process. The Hoos and Hurricanes tip off at 7 p.m. on Friday night.
