The Virginia basketball team put a bow on a strong regular season run with a 76-72 win against Virginia Tech on Saturday. That capped off a 27-4 record overall and a 15-3 mark in the ACC in Ryan Odom's first year at the helm. UVA will carry the No. 2 seed into the ACC Tournament next week.

In the victory against the Hokies, the Hoos jumped out to an early lead and then fought off a furious rally to prevail. Malik Thomas and Ungonna Onyenso led the way with 16 points each as both players knocked down a pair of 3-pointers. Onyenso added 5 rebounds and 3 blocked shots as well, while Thomas notched 2 steals. Sam Lewis tallied 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists while Thijs De Ridder finished with 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists. The Cavaliers also got 7 points from Jacari White and 9 assists from Dallin Hall in the win.
