The Hoos On Podcast Postgame Report returns from the John Paul Jones Arena where Virginia notched a 70-55 ACC win against Stanford on Saturday. Much like the California game earlier in the week, the Hoos extended a small lead just before halftime and then pulled away convincingly in the second half. This time a 2-point lead grew to 7 in the final minute of the first half before ballooning to 23 points in the second half.

Preston Willet reacts to UVA's victory over Stanford with thoughts on the defense, the play of Chance Mallory and Thijs De Ridder, and a look ahead. De Ridder pourted in 22 points to lead the Hoos, while Mallory posted 11 points and 3 assists. Virginia also got 11 points and 3 assists from Malik Thomas. Stanford missed 16 of 17 shots to start the second half and eventually finished 18-of-56 shooting (32.1%).
