The NBA postseason has started and five Virginia players on playoff rosters have made it on the court in the first round.
The biggest splash came from Ty Jerome, who made his playoff debut with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He erupted for 28 points on 10-15 shooting in game one against the Miami Heat. According to Danny Neckel on social media, Jerome became the only player in NBA history to score at least 28 points in less than 27 minutes in their playoff debut. He added 5 rebounds and 3 assists in that win. In game two, Jerome had 6 points and 3 rebounds in 23 minutes.

De'Andre Hunter also plays for the Cavaliers. He had 3 rebounds and 1 assist in game one. In game two, Hunter got going with 12 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 steal as Cleveland took a 2-0 lead.
Sam Hauser has seen some time for Boston in two games. He played 9 minutes with 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block in game one against Orlando. In game two, he logged 13 minutes with 1 rebound.
Former UVA teammates Jay Huff and Braxton Key also have playoff roster spots. Huff made his only appearance of the first round with 12 minutes for the Memphis Grizzlies in game one against Oklahoma City. He produced 8 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots. Key, the G League Defensive Player of the Year that had his contract converted for the playoffs, got 4 minutes for Golden State in game two against Houston. He had 2 blocked shots.
