New Virginia women’s basketball coach Aaron Roussell is three for three so far on the high school recruiting trail. Lisa Sirgi made the call for the Cavaliers on Thursday, giving Roussell and the Hoos three top 100 recruits in the 2027 recruiting cycle.
Sirgi, originally from Estonia, joins Sabrina Anderson and Nevaeh Roberson in the class.
Sirgi announced her decision on social media.
She also shared this from social media, showing where she has started a painting of the Rotunda.

Sirgi currently sits well inside the top 100 recruits nationally. ESPN ranks her at No. 56 nationally in the class, while she carries a 4-star rating by the service. That puts her in the same range as her fellow Cavalier commitments. Anderson ranked No. 47 (Prep Girls Hoops) and No. 60 (ESPN) when she committed earlier this summer, while Roberson ranked as high as No. 48 (On3) as well as at No. 55 (Prep Girls Hoops) and No. 73 (ESPN).
Sirgi and Roberson give Roussell some height in this class at 6’4” and 6’1”, respectively. That pairs with the 5’8” Anderson, who is a playmaking guard from within the state. Sirgi, meanwhile, comes to Virginia from Estonia by way of Canada’s Fort Erie Secondary School. North Pole Hoops in Canada had her ranked as a top 5 player in the country last season.
Playing for the Estonian U18 National Team in the 2025 FIBA U18 Women’s EuroBasket Division B event, she averaged 10.3 points and 13.1 rebounds across seven games. West Coast Elite’s Marcus Forbes wrote in a scouting report that she shoots with the touch of a guard and described her as having “a high-IQ and understands floor spacing relative to her guards.” That should make her a good fit for the spacing style offense that Roussell uses. She’s also noted as a defensive presence in some analysis as well and averaged 1.5 blocks on a Grind Session winter circuit.
All of that drew plenty of attention from college recruiters. In addition to Virginia, Sirgi had offers from multiple power conference programs. The list included Texas, North Carolina, and TCU where she took visits as well as Minnesota, Baylor, Mississippi State, and more. UVA also offered her prior to this offseason’s coaching change.
